LafargeHolcim appoints new Group Head of Research & Development
LafargeHolcim announces the appointment of Heike Faulhammer (50) as Group Head of Research & Development, effective July 1, 2017.
Heike Faulhammer joins LafargeHolcim from Arkema, one of France’s leading chemicals producer, where she has spent 20 years in research, production, product innovation-related functions and sustainable development. In particular, she acted as a Director at Arkema’s global R&D center in Lacq, South-West France. Heike Faulhammer graduated from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and holds a PhD in Chemistry.
As Head of R&D, Heike Faulhammer will be based at the global R&D center near Lyon, France. With 200 engineers and technicians from more than 20 nationalities, the center creates innovative solutions to address the needs of the construction industry.
Most recently LafargeHolcim announced the launch of Airium™ which was developed and patented by the global R&D center in Lyon. Airium™ is a mineral insulating foam that improves energy efficiency for buildings, from floor to ceiling.
