A vessel that promotes circularity

A first-of-its-kind, the Circular Explorer is our 100% solar-powered catamaran that promotes circularity through three main pillars: recycling, education and science. 

It is currently operating in Manila Bay and collecting an average of 500 kg of marine litter per day, transforming it into new resources or alternative energy sources together with local recycling partners. The Circular Explorer is an education center empowering local communities to take action to save our oceans through awareness raising and teaching people about the importance of marine preservation and the circular economy. Finally, it is a floating scientific laboratory and mobile research center which scientists use to collect data to help us learn more about the problem of marine litter and create better solutions for the future.
